That’s why they call it Test, A endless beauty of Cricket

Galle Test started with all the flairs for Indian Cricket fans. A turn and bounce on the pitch suggesting that the batsmen should really suffer in the upcoming days was clearly mentioned in the beginning session when wickets crumbled for seamers as well as the rising spinner RavichandranAshwin.

People were eager to see the master class of Kumar Sangakara playing against his one of the favorite rivals to blossom in his last test match of his swift career. But for the sadness to his fan following, Ashwin had the upper hand on the first morning of the test match.

A score card that began poorly as 15/1 gradually passed 27/3 after Sangakara’s downfall. Eventually Sri- Lanka finished at 183 in less than 50 overs of the first day.

It was all looking as if Ashwin’s magic in the subcontinent began with all good for the team’s new lethal captain Virat Kohli. As the team management had an emphasis only with the bowling unit, so it exactly happened as their plan, India were on the top after the completion of 2nd days play. Both Kohli and ShikharDhawan passed the milestone of the test tons.

The century came in the crucial time for Captain Kohli who was being watched and criticized for histemperament in the test matches. Similarly, Dhawan continued his good form with the bat in the sub-continent pitches and capitalized some poor bowling displays of Srilankan spinners.

With the lead of 192 in the first innings after a late collapse again of the Indian middle order, things quickly went in favor of the visitors. After the dismal 2nd innings start from the top order once again, Sri-lanka was reduced to 92/5 as well as looked like they were ready to suffer an innings defeat in the first test match. India was all set to give a big gift to their nation on the 68th Independence Day of the country.

But all went wrong in a single session that belonged to RanganaHerath, a wild hearted Srilankan spinner, who scalped 7 out of 10 Indian wickets.

With the batting side collapsed and tentative, only 4 batsmen got double figures.  A regular fall of wickets, poor defensive shots and improper shot selections came in the way of a positive management who always walks with the slogan of attack.

Ravi Shastri got up with media to console himself by saying,” We will keep on the attacking mood” as mentioned in www.cricinfo.com.  Similarly, Kohli always backed up his team mates stating that “we were not silly just tentative”.

All credit goes to the splendid Srilankans on the field, with superb catching, stumping and good length bowling. Kushal Silva was outstanding on the field and his catching was out of the world. His effort backed up RanganaHerath who damaged, bamboozled and finished off all the flair of Indian batsmen leaving them 112 all-out. Srilankan players bade a well deserve good bye to Kumar Sangakara at Galle playing his last test of the career at Galle.

Sanga

got the lap of honor, most importantly a victory after being out and about from the test match in the first three days. This was just the second time India lost a test match chasing 200 or less.

A shocking performance from the Indians came up with a lot of negative vibes across the land of Billions. Just time will tell how quickly the young guns will bounce back and series will rank Indian team in the upcoming test rankings. On the other hand, Sri- Lankan will make Indians work hard for their runs. All is looking well for the mighty Srilankans, hopeless for Indians at this instant.

Great farewell to a great legend: Kumar Sangakkara has always taught us how to smile in stress

No one can match Sangakkara’s determination
