Prime Minister (PM) cup is all set to start from May 27.
Tournament is organized by National Sport Council with title sponsorship by Invent Company “Nepalaya”. 10 teams will take part in 17 days long competition. 7 respective province of Nepal along with 3 departmental teams, i.e Nepal Police Club, APF Club, and Tribhuwan Army Club. 10 teams are divided into two groups, 5 teams in each group, where top two sides from each group will find a place in semi-final. TU Int’l Cricket Ground along with Mulpani Cricket Ground will jointly host the tournament. Nepalese players will get a chance to play 50 overs format tournament after a long while in domestic circuit. Organizer will announce the centre of every province for province’s team selection.
Winner of this competition will get 20 lakhs Nepalese currency cash price along with Trophy where runner-up will get 10 lakhs Nepalese currency along with cash price. This tournament will give a Nepal perfect chance to judge a 50 overs format’s specialist and will encourage stakeholders to invest on longer format of competition.
