Royal Rhinos Cricket Club and The Himalayan Club surpassed Expert Cricket Club and Narre Kings Cricket Club respectively on first two matches of BMW Cup’s third week.
Chasing the target of 165 runs, Rhinos reached there with 5 balls to spare. Chand drew the script of the run chase with 56 runs. Sahas provided them much needed fuel with 11balls- 29 runs. Kamlesh stayed there till the end with 24 runs. Sunod Shrestha grabbed maximum 2 wickets for expert. Tara and Suman filled their wicket’s column with a wicket each. Earlier, Expert Cricket Club won the toss and opted to bat first. They lost their skipper Sunam Gautam too early but still managed to add 60 runs inside first power play. Manish batted beautifully and smashed 60 runs to propel Expert’s total to 164 runs, losing 7 wickets in inscribed 20 overs. Susan also played his part with 30 runs. Rhinos skipper, Niraj, picked up maximum 3 wickets whereas Runput also managed to take 2 wickets. Pukar and Nirajan chipped in with a wicket each.
In an another context, The Himalayan Club posted 161 runs against Narre Kings Cricket Club. Raj’s unbeaten 61 runs helped them to post the modest total of 161 runs on board. He smashed 2 sixes and 9 fours in his very vital innings for Kings. Binod gave him handy company with 24 runs in his name. Nabin picked maximum 2 wickets for Kings.
In response, Narre Kings Cricket Club found themselves 37 runs short of target. Janam picked up 4 wickets whereas Samyog chipped in with 2 wickets.
