South Africa produced fantastic win in decider to seal the series against Australia

Brilliant tons from Proteas skipper Faf Du Plessis and David Miller scripted the series sealing 40 runs’ victory for South Africa against Australia. African’s key players stepped up in decider and sealed to bring the series on their favour.

Defending 320 runs, Proteas veteran fast-bowler, Dale Steyn, picked up 3 wickets. He started it with Chris Lynn’s (00) wicket on his very first delivery and closed the things for his team with Glenn Maxwell’s (35) wicket on penultimate over of the innings. He also dismissed Aussies wicket-keeper batsman, Alex Carey (42). His pace bowling duo, Kagiso Rabada also cleaned it up with effective tail’s wickets. He sent back Mitchell Starc (00) and Adam Zampa (00) along with Travis Head (06). Shaun Marsh registered his 6th ODI century and tried to drive Aussies towards win but Pretorius had different plan with Marsh’s wicket on 42th over of the innings. Pretorius completely swung the pendulum on Proteas side with Shaun Marsh (106) and Marcus Stoinis’s (63) wickets in his tally.

Earlier, South Africa were asked to bat first and they responded with 320 runs in first innings. Despite of losing 3 early wickets, skipper Du Plessis along with David Miller tied the hips and shared match-defining 252 runs’ stand. Miller faced 107 balls to score maximum 139 runs with 4 sixes and 13 fours. Likewise, Du Plessis added 125 runs from 114 deliveries with 2 sixes and 15 fours. Starc and Stoinis took 2 wickets each for Australia. Davild Miller was adjudged as both man of the match and man of the series.
