Champion Trophy’s future pushed back to shadow after ICC decided to replace it with World Twenty20. ICC Champion Trophy 2021 was supposed to held in India, but recently ICC decided to replace it World Twenty20. Back to back world cup in T20 format blemishes the future of Champion Trophy, as World Twenty20 will be held in Australia on 2020 as well. Australia and India are most successful side of this tournament with 2 titles each. 2017’s Champion Trophy was the 8th and latest edition of this competition where Pakistan lifted the trophy, beating their arch-rival India in final.
